Guess where we were tonight?

Ok, I've been a bit envious of the whole Paris thing but this is too much!!!

Wish I could say we actually attended the premier, but we were just one of the (seemingly) millions of people lined up outside the premier. It was at The National Gallery, which we went to, and Trafalgar Square was a complete mobscene of Potter-philes. We have a bunch of other pictures from it (including the recreation of Olivander's Wand Shop they had on the red carpet), so we'll try to get them posted soon.

I'm only guessing, but this was probably one of Goldilock's favorite parts of going to London. Jill kept saying she could easily knock down some of the swells carrying the premier tickets, but cooler heads prevailed.

Mrs Frog, we kept thinking of you the whole time we were there!

Once upon a time...

...there was a man (let's call him Jack) who worked in a big city at a big company that makes books. A few years later, his wife (we'll call her Jill) started working there too, in the same department no less. While no job is perfect and theirs certainly weren't the worst they had ever had, at times the best benefit was having adjacent cubicles. Wouldn't you know it, a few years after that Jill got pregnant (and no, the adjacent cubicles were not the backdrop for the conception). Jill eventually popped out a little girl named...well, I'll ask her in the morning what pseudonym she prefers to use. Time went by and they moved out of the city to a more picturesque setting, ~~almost~~ just as surreal as Green Acres. At this point a lot of things start to happen, but two big ones were that Jill switched departments (and LOVED it!) and Jack ended up without a job (which was enjoyable until the lack of a paycheck forced him to get a new one). Because she liked her new job so much, Jill kept going into the big city to work every day, mostly in exchange for all the books she could read. By then Jill had put in enough time at the company that she started thinking about another benefit; if you gave them 10 years service, the company would give you a four week sabbatical to go and do whatever you wanted. At first it was something to fear, since the thought of five more years riding the train for 15 hours a week made her want to taser someone. However, five years became four, four turned to three, and eventually Jill developed a survivalist instinct, counting the days until her sabbatical. Fast forward to last year, when she realized a co-worker had an apartment in Paris and was willing to rent it for a month. Throwing down the gauntlet, Jill told Jack he could either sit at home eating soup from a can or find a way to get a month off work and join the family adventure. Luckily Jack works at an awesome place too and they agreed to let him run away and pretend to have a month off, with the unspoken understanding that if any of his work didn't get done during the trip he should probably update his Monster account info.

The moral of the story? Who the hell cares, we're going to Paris for a month!!!
